We are the greatest in 3rd Grade!

Our class has read all about the emperor penguins. We wrote reports to share what we learned and made a display of fuzzy penguin chicks to show the school.

Our class has just concluded studies about rocks. Our room is full of metamorphic rocks we squeezed, layers of the earth we made, and the portraits of rocks we colored true to form. We learned about and posted all the attributes of rocks on our wall. We then read about a boy who dug his way to China through the middle of the Earth.

We designed our own "no-space ships" to travel there through all kinds of conditions in middle earth.  Both third grade classes visited the Marble Museum in Proctor and had a wonderful time watching a stone carver, visiting the Hall of Presidents, the Hall of Rocks and Minerals for kids, Omya's display and lots of other interesting things.

We have started multiplying and dividing in class and have learned about the inverse property and the word "per".
