Welcome to the Poultney Elementary School Library!   Our school library is located in the center of the school and is a resource for our students and faculty.  Our goal is to try to integrate technology and information literacy along with inspiring a lifelong love of books and reading!   Please check here often for library news, what’s new on the shelves, as well as for resources and activities to help with homework or projects!

Library News----January, 2012

The Kindergarten classes have created a lovely bulletin board with Mr. Noerr in Art class reflecting the artwork of Eric Carle’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar !  It is a bright and colorful addition to our library!

A note about Overdue Notices:

Poultney Elementary School Library Overdue Notices will be going out periodically throughout the year.  These notices are to be considered 'reminders' only.  They are not bills.  Only when a book is lost or damaged  will there be a bill sent home for the cost of replacing the title .

The Circulation Computer is set up for a 7-day check out period.  If the due date of a book happens to fall on a day when school is not in session,  please know that the title will then be due on the next school day or the next library class day...we are very flexible that way!

Children are encouraged to use the library to return and check out books on ALL days...not just their library class day.  Books can be renewed anytime for up to 3 weeks.

A Heartfelt Note from Mrs. Capron

Thank you all for all of your warm retirement wishes and super-duper hugs this week.

Friday, January 20th is my last day at the Poultney Elementary School as librarian.

You all will be missed so much...but don't worry, I plan to stop in every now and then to say Hi and see how you all are doing.

Take good care of Mrs. DeKalb!  She will be a fantastic librarian for you.

Remember to Read, Read, and Read!!!

Love,

      Mrs. Capron
