First Grade News:

Welcome to First Grade!

We are becoming wonderful readers, writers and mathematicians.
We love Gym, Library, Art, Music and of course, Recess!

Here are a few First Grade Reminders:

Homework Folders are sent home every Monday and need to be returned every Thursday during full weeks of school.

Book Nook bags go home with the students every day and must be returned the following morning for a book exchange. All first graders are required to read their Book Nook book every night. Parents need to sign the enclosed card to verify that the book has been read. Book Nook books can be used on the Homework Reading page.

We are having a Fantastic First Grade year. And remember...

                                 2  ...  4   ... 6  ...  8 ...   FIRST GRADERS ARE REALLY GREAT!

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE - We remind the children each day that practice will help them get better at anything they do.  They prove this each day with their increase of reading levels and their improvement in spelling and writing skills.  We are proud of their hard work and accomplishments so far.
