Homework
Policy
Homework is used to reinforce your learning experiences in the
classroom, to complete class assignments or to work on projects.
It is extremely important that you complete your homework on a daily
basis and have it with you in class the next day. If you are
absent, you should call a friend and get the assignment or check
your assignment sheet in your math folder. If you don't
understand your homework, I am always available after school for
help, unless I have an emergency or a meeting. Math homework
is intended to take 20-30 minutes each night. If you are
spending more time than this, you need to communicate this to me.
If you do not complete your homework after a good thirty minutes on
the task, have your parents sign and date the homework.
Homework will be graded 60-80% of the time. I will not always
grade homework the same way; here are a few ways I may do it:
1. Select a few problems to grade; 2. Grade based on
effort and completion; 3. Grade as a group; 4. Pop-Quiz. |
