"The reader creates questions about the text,
such as "What is the author trying to say!" "How does this relate to
my life?" or "Why did the the author write in the way he or she
did?" The reader also engages, throughout the reading, in posing
metacognitive questions: "Am I getting the point?" "Why does
this text (not) engage me?"
