**Certain courses in social studies and science are required:
World History and US History I are required, as are Introduction to
Biology, Earth Science and Physical Science or Chemistry. Any
exceptions/substitutions must be approved by the administration.
Students must also complete a PDC
(Personal Development Collection), a notebook portfolio
demonstrating competence in meeting the 58 Vermont Vital Results.
Faculty and administration will assist students in completing their
PDC and students should work on a portion of it each year. The
Teacher Advisory (TA) period is a great time to do this. Transfer
students will be required to complete a pro-rated portion of the 58
standards depending on their previous school’s requirements, and the
year of entry to PHS.
