High school students planning to
participate in college athletic programs need to know what division
and what sanctioning body their potential college participates in.
There are different eligibility requirements for different
organizations.
NCAA Clearinghouse
Student athletes wishing to compete at NCAA Division I or Division
II colleges/universities will need to register with the NCAA
Clearinghouse. The clearinghouse determines athletic
eligibility for these colleges/universities. You may wish to
download the free PDF version of the NCAA Guide for the
College-Bound Student-Athlete. NCAA Division III does not require
registration with the clearinghouse, please contact the
college/university directly for eligibility information. www.ncaaclearinghouse.org
National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics
The NAIA is another sanctioning body for college
athletics. If you are interested in attending an NAIA college
please contact that college directly for eligibility and athletic
scholarship information. To see what colleges compete in NAIA please
